NOW OPEN
Our first Flat Iron in the Midlands sits on Temple Street, right in the centre of the city, a short walk from Cathedral Square and St Philip’s Cathedral, Birmingham New Street Station and Grand Central, with the Bullring close by.
Set across two floors, the restaurant leans into the industrial character of the building, pairing exposed brickwork with steel and timber. The back bar is built from reclaimed industrial shelving originally designed for libraries, its steel uprights and adjustable shelves now forming an open framework behind the bar. Mild steel glazed screens, woven with trailing vines, divide the space, and hanging planters bring in more greenery. Reclaimed cabinets, vintage lighting and a mix of vintage and reclaimed furniture add warmth to the brick and steel.
The menu at Flat Iron Birmingham includes all our usual suspects: the signature Flat Iron steak and sides of beef dripping chips, crisp bone marrow garlic mash and creamed spinach. Blackboard beef specials include our smashed onion double cheeseburger (made using our Flat Iron herd beef), a Wagyu steak of the day and a 35 day aged Ribeye. Drink-wise the restaurant offers our carefully curated wine, cocktail and draught beer list.
